Agricultural Group Tour - 2 day
The primary industries of agriculture, forestry and fishing have played a lead role in South Australia’s economic development since European settlement, and continue to be a major source of wealth creation and export earnings for the state.
The agricultural sector in SA is worth over $7 billion which is around 12 per cent of the State’s economic output. The major products are wheat, barley and wool, while fishing and forestry are important income generating activities.
Although much of the state is arid, the southern areas get decent enough rainfall for a wide array of ag-activities, including wine, milk and cheese, fruit and vegetable, cut flowers and poultry.
